Nicolae Bacalbașa graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, after which he dedicated his time and considerable effort to advancing his career and surgical skills to the highest level. As a result, he has been recognized as a specialist in General Surgery, with expertise in oncological, hepato-biliary-pancreatic, and gynecological surgery.
After completing medical studies in 2003, Dr. Nicolae Bacalbașa continued to specialize in two surgical fields: General Surgery and Obstetrics-Gynecology. As a result, he obtained the title of Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2011, and in 2013, he became a Specialist in General Surgery. Since 2018, he has been a Specialist in General Surgery.
Subsequently, due to his interest in oncological conditions and his inclination towards patients with cancer, he deepened his knowledge in oncological surgery, hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery and gynecological oncology. Nicolae Bacalbașa attended numerous improvement courses both in Romania and abroad to offer patients the best treatments with modern techniques. In 2022, he became the head of the Oncological Surgery Department at the Fundeni Clinical Institute.
Considering that medical training never stops, Dr. Nicolae Bacalbașa has always sought continuous improvement to provide the best services to his patients. He was a university assistant until 2014, after which he became a university lecturer. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Clinic of Oncological Surgery at the Fundeni Clinical Hospital and a second-degree principal researcher at the Center of Excellence in Translational Medicine.
